At Home + Planet Refillery, our goal is to reduce waste and provide high-quality, non-toxic products. Because many of our items are personal care or bulk refills, we have specific guidelines to ensure the safety and hygiene of our community.
📦 Shipping Policy
Thank you for visiting and shopping at Home + Planet Refillery. The following terms and conditions constitute our Shipping Policy.
We aim to get our products from our home to yours as quickly and sustainably as possible.
Free Shipping
We offer FREE shipping on orders that meet the free shipping threshold
(excluding Alaska, Hawaii, and other non-contiguous states).

Please note: Free shipping is calculated after all discounts, promotions, and rewards are applied.

If you use a discount code or redeem rewards, your order total may be adjusted below the free shipping threshold, and standard shipping charges will apply.

Process Time
Processing is the work completed before your order leaves our facility, including:

Handing the order off to the carrier
Processing time does NOT include shipping time.

Typical processing time: 3–5 business days

During high-volume periods (major promotions or holidays): 5–7 business days
Delivery/Shipping Time
Delivery begins once your order has been handed to the carrier (USPS).

Shipping time is the time it takes the carrier to deliver your package after it leaves our facility.

Once your package leaves our facility, it is in the hands of the carrier.
Occasionally, delays can occur due to:

Accidents
-
Lost or damaged packages

Other unforeseen circumstances
These situations are not intentional and are never meant to inconvenience or frustrate our customers. Many of these issues are beyond our control.

If your tracking appears stalled or has not been updated, please reach out to us.

We will do our best to investigate with the carrier, track down your shipment, and determine what may have happened.
How Shipping Rates & Delivery Estimates are Calculated
These calculations are based on:

Package weight and dimensions

Shipping origin and destination
-
Shipping method selected (Ground, Priority, etc.)

Carrier-provided delivery timelines
Please note:

Delivery dates and timeframes shown are estimates, not guarantees.

Estimates reflect typical carrier transit times under normal conditions and do not account for delays caused by weather, high shipping volume, holidays, accidents, or other unforeseen events.

Once a package leaves our facility, delivery timing is determined by the carrier.

Carriers do not guarantee delivery dates for standard shipping services.
We always ship orders as quickly as possible and provide accurate tracking once your package leaves our facility, but the carrier ultimately controls actual delivery times.
Damages | Missing | Wrong Items

These photos help us when filing a claim with the carrier.
We understand that shipping issues can be frustrating.

Our goal is always to work with you to find a fair and reasonable solution when something goes wrong during shipment.
Eco-Friendly Packaging
We use plastic-free padding and recycled boxes whenever possible. Please compost or recycle your packaging once it arrives.
🔄 Refunds & Returns Policy
Because of the nature of our products (especially bulk refills and personal care items), we have to be strict about hygiene and safety.
We want our customers to be happy. Products that are no longer wanted may be returned in new, unopened condition within 30 days of receipt.
Returning Items
When returning items, please clearly write your order number on the outside of the box. If you have the original packing slip, please include it inside the box so we can quickly associate the return with your account.
Customers are responsible for the cost of return shipping. Once the item is received, it will be inspected. Upon approval, a refund will be issued for the product price, minus the original shipping cost and a 5% restocking/processing fee to cover credit card transaction fees.
Items That Cannot Be Returned or Refunded
The following items cannot be returned and do not qualify for a refund:
- Clearance
- Close The Loop
- Bar Soap/Lotion Bars
- Refills/Liquids
- Due to the risk of contamination, all bulk refills/liquids are final sales. We recommend trying a smaller size before committing to a gallon!

Return Inquiries

If you are returning an item, we recommend using a trackable shipping service and/or purchasing shipping insurance. We cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item. If it is lost, damaged, or destroyed in transit, you will be responsible for filing a claim with the carrier. Having tracking or insurance greatly facilitates the claim process.
Please allow 1–2 business weeks for your return to reach us. Using a carrier with tracking and insurance is the safest way to ensure your return is received and protected.
Refunding | Canceling Orders
If you would like to cancel or request a refund for an order before it has shipped, contact us. We will provide a full refund minus 3%, which is retained to cover the cost of our payment processing provider’s service fee.
Missed Shipping Delivery
If a carrier exhausts all delivery attempts, the shipment will be returned to us by default.
To Re-ship the Order
An invoice for the additional shipping charges will be sent. If your delivery address is commercial, we recommend switching to a residential address, when possible, as this may allow the carrier to leave the package if no one is available to receive it.
To Refund the Order
Once the returned items arrive back with us, they will be inspected to ensure they are still in sellable condition after transit. If approved, a full refund for the product(s) will be issued, minus the original shipping cost and a 5% restocking/processing fee to cover credit card transaction fees.

- Please contact us using the email that is associated with your account so we can quickly pull up your information and assess your order.
- Order # (this is different than a confirmation number.)
- Item(s) that are damaged, missing, or wrong
- Pictures of wrong or damaged item(s), including packing material and the damaged item(s). This helps us when we file a claim with the carrier.
Please inspect your order upon arrival. If an item is defective, damaged, or you received the wrong item, contact us within 48 hours of delivery.
We understand that shipping issues can be frustrating. Our goal is always to work with you to find a fair and reasonable solution when something goes wrong during shipment.
If you experience an issue with your order, please get in touch with us first so we can help. We are committed to listening, investigating, and resolving concerns as equitably as possible.
Please note that initiating a chargeback through your bank before contacting us can significantly delay resolution. Chargebacks often take 75–120 days, involve multiple steps, and limit our ability to assist you directly.
We are always willing to work toward a reasonable outcome. A chargeback should be a last resort, not the first step. We are here to help.
